About us

Hi,  I'm Mhairi, owner of Maisie Gray Pottery & Crafts.  I like making things and creating a mess!  

Based in Linlithgow, Scotland, we are a fully operational Paint Your Own Pottery Studio, Pottery and clay studio, Sewing School (using Janome machines) party/event venue and e-commerce craft/art shop.

Our philosophy is very simple:  Have as much fun as we can with the least impact on the planet (we are big fans of The Minimalists)

My family and I have always enjoyed pottery painting and printing so when our local studio  closed it was an ideal opportunity to create a new one.  Then COVID-19 hit and we moved 100% online.  Kits to paint at home will always be available as this is a flagship product for us and not everyone is able to leave home.

In early 2024 we moved to larger premises in a former church, located 5 minutes from our previous studio.  It’s still a transition for us so please be patient as we expand.  

We can now seat around 40 people, there is a coffee shop selling Argyll Coffee Roasters delicious coffee, Shibui Teas (from Edinburgh) and Barebones Chocolate (vegan and from Glasgow)

We have a separate party room which can also be hired by the hour for local businesses and community groups.

We are passionate about providing the best customer service we can - if we make a mistake we will do what it takes to make it right.
