Pottery Club Membership Pay-As-You-Go

Our studio memberships are a monthly subscription allowing you to book space to develop your clay skills independently.  They are designed for anyone who has already gained some core pottery skills in either hand building or wheel throwing.  Basic glazing skills are required but our studio staff are available to help.

If you'd like to join but need more instruction first please contact us to enquire about our classes and 1:2:1's. 

All members must be 18+ and MUST have attended one of:
Introduction to Pottery Wheel Workshop,
Introduction to Clay Building Workshop,
8 Week Introduction to Pottery Course,
OR 
have previous skill and experience in a clay studio and provide examples of work or demonstrate ability in the studio.

Teen membership available for 14-17 year olds.   Access limited to Friday afternoons, Saturday and Sundays studio opening hours during term time.  Full studio opening hour access during school holidays.

Children age 8-17 years may visit with a member during studio opening hours at the Pay-As-You-Go rate.  Children are encouraged and welcomed but must be fully supervised by their adult member whilst in the studio.

Bronze Membership

• £72.00 per month subscription

Silver Membership

• £96.00 per month subscription
• 12 hours per month
• Personal drying and storage space

Gold Membership

• £140.00 per month subscription
• 20 hours per month
• Personal drying and storage space
• 2 shelves bisque firing per month
• 2 shelves bisque firing per month
• Access 24/7 to the studio

Platinum Membership

• £260.00 per month subscription
• 40 hours per month
• Personal drying and storage space
• 1 kiln bisque firing per month
• 1 kiln glaze firing per month
• Access 24/7 to the studio

Unlimited Membership

• £480.00 per month subscription
• Unlimited hours per month
• Personal drying and storage space
• 1 kiln bisque firing per week
• 1 kiln glaze firing per week.
• Access 24/7 to the studio.

Teen Membership (age 14-17)

• £48.00 per month subscription
• 8 hours per month
• Personal drying and storage space
• 1 shelf bisque firing per month
• 1 shelf bisque firing per month
• Access limited to Friday 12:30-17:30, Saturday and Sunday 10:00-17:00 during term time.  During school holidays 7 days during studio opening hours 

All membership options include:

• Use of Mayco Stroke & Coat Glazes,
• Use of Mayco Stoneware Glazes.
• Clear food-safe dipping glaze (Scarva or Mayco)
  
• Use of our Pottery Wheel
  
• Use of our tools and equipment.
  
• Storage space dependent on membership level
  
• Kiln firing capacity dependent on membership level.
  

Not included in our memberships:

• Clay is not included in memberships.
  • Clay is sold in 12.5kg bags from our local supplier
  • New clays and glazes should not be brought into the studio without discussion with Mhairi as this risks the safety of all studio users and seriously damaging the kiln.  Test firing will ALWAYS be required ahead of use at £60.00 per firing.  We are continually expanding our "tested and approved" clay and glaze ranges that are available to purchase.
• Additional firing available at £20.00 per shelf/£60.00 whole kiln.
• Additional hours in the studio per month £10.00 per hour.
• Tea, Coffee, Soft Drinks, Cakes and other items from our coffee shop.

All members must agree to our code of conduct, ensure the safety of themselves and other studio users, leave the studio and equipment clean and report any issues.   No roll over of unused hours per month or kiln firing capacity.  Memberships may be paused, skipped or cancelled at any time.

The studio is covered by CCTV for security and safety of staff and members.   

Pre-booking essential using our booking software to ensure everyone has enough space to work.  To allow this to work, memberships are limited.   

Membership monthly fees may be reduced in exchange for regular studio work (loading and unloading kiln, glazing, sorting orders etc) please contact Mhairi if you'd be interested in this!  

Students at college and university with a valid matriculation card will receive a 10% discount on monthly subscriptions.
